She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2010. She completed her master's degree in Psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands in 2012. She received her doctorate in Psychology from Ghent University in Belgium.
Following her doctoral studies, she served as a faculty member in the Psychology departments of Üsküdar University, Yeditepe University, and Antalya Science University.
She is a member of the Turkish Psychologists Association.
